Infinity Yoga presents a yoga teacher training program including Yoga Technique and Practice, Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics for Yoga Teachers, Teaching Methodology, Anatomy and Physiology. Trainees will experience first hand the transformative physical, mental, and spiritual effects of yoga at Infinity Yoga. We want you to excel within your practice and ability to teach effectively, skillfully, and with confidence. Becky Nickerson, E-RYT 500, founded Infinity Yoga after spending years teaching at almost a dozen different yoga studios in Miami and Atlanta. A 500 Hour Yoga Alliance certified instructor, Becky has practiced with, and been educated by some of the most influential yoga teachers in the world.
Most well known for her strong physical practice with a keen sense for arm balances and inversions, Becky also has strong roots in the yoga tradition and has an unsurpassed knowledge of yogic philosophy gained mostly from her studies at the Himalayan Institute. Beyond her education and knowledge, Becky has taught thousands of yoga classes over the past several years and is one of the preeminent instructors in Atlanta.
Meredith, a former dancer, is one of Infinity's most experienced instructors. Having a wide array of teaching experience in vinyasa and pilates, Meredith's knowledge of movement, sequencing, and postures is unparalleled.
Meredith has run several pilates trainings in Atlanta and has been a paramount instructor in Infinity Yoga's 200 Hr Teacher Training Program. Always looking to learn and continue her education, Meredith is a true teacher's teacher and is excited to work with each new set of Atlanta's most promising teacher trainees!
Sharon Caplan, E-RYT 200, is bar none one of the most sought after instructors in Atlanta. And for good reason, Sharon is an absolute master of sequencing. Sharon's unparalleled expertise in the classroom has undoubtedly stemmed from her successful career as a professional dancer.
Expressing her love for fluidity and coordinated movement, Sharon takes a progressive approach to the yogic tradition with her unique and inspired flows. Sharon teaches throughout the country at yoga festivals and events, but calls Infinity Yoga home while in Atlanta. Sharon's hands on approach to teacher training and ability to break down the basics makes her sequencing weekends the lynchpin of Infinity Yoga's teacher training program.
Jennifer has been teaching Vinyasa and Ashtanga for more than 13 years. Taught under the renowned Ashtanga teacher David Garrigues, Jennifer is one of the most experienced yoga teachers in the area.
Using her unparalleled asana practice as a guide, Jennifer will focus on alignment, adjustments, and effective teacher cuing in our class led portions of teacher training. Formerly a co-owner of Balance Yoga in Buckhead, Jennifer has taught thousands of people the benefits of yoga. Jennifer is excited to join Infinity Yoga's distinguished Teacher Training faculty.
Erin is an integral part of Infinity Yoga's teacher training program in every way. With an extensive dance and barre background, Erin has a knack for sequencing and beautiful vinyasa instruction. As one of Atlanta's most exciting up and coming instructors, Erin provides a unique and fun perspective on the teaching experience. Having made the transition from dance to a full time professional yoga instructor, Erin also has a unique and instrumental viewpoint on the modern yoga instructor as a side job or as a full-time career.
Most recently, Erin has recommitted herself not just to flowing vinyasa practice but to the lighter side of yoga, practicing under world-renowned yogis in alignment, Kundalini, philosophy and sanskrit, and very close to her heart - extended trainings in restorative, yin and meditation. Erin's ability to impart her learnings from such respected yogis as Maty Ezraty, Kia Miller, Sandra Anderson, Judith Lasater, and Douglas Johnson bring an incredibly valuable abundance of wisdom to our trainings that you won't find elsewhere in Atlanta!
Todd has been teaching at Infinity Yoga since its inception and his unique hatha asana class "Form and Flow" breaks down the traditional vinyasa sequencing to tap into alignment and the structure of each posture. Todd has been teaching regularly since 2003 and is one of several 500 hr certified teachers on Infinity Yoga's instructor roster. Beyond Todd's beautiful practice and extensive knowledge of asana, pranayama, anatomy and meditation, Todd is a master acro yoga teacher.
One of the most influential and preeminent acro yogis in Georgia, Todd brings playfulness and acrobatics to partner yoga through alignment, physical connectedness and balance. A suprisingly fundamental training weekend, Todd will take our teacher trainees through an acro yoga intensive, not necessarily with the intention of teaching acro, but to learn more about our physical abilities and limitations, learn to touch and align our partners and students, and the importance of directional cuing. Here you will get to know your fellow trainees in an amazing, friendly and fun way, and come away with the skill set to move like you never thought possible!
"I had researched and thought about doing my 200YTT for several years. I am so glad I waited. The entire atmosphere of Infinity Yoga is so supportive. Becky is an excellent role model and teacher for the yoga community. She is encouraging and supportive and always made herself available if we needed. I felt like we all had the opportunity to approach the journey in our own space and time. She seemed to know how to guide each of us as needed. Infinity Yoga makes you feel like family and they are definitely like the old Cheers song....... "where everybody knows your name". All the teachers are fabulous and have their unique style and personality which offered us a great opportunity to learn different types of yoga classes as well as slightly different ways to guide participants through their practice."
"I had an authentic, real, life changing experience from yoga teacher training at Infinity Yoga with Becky Nickerson. Becky and all of the guest instructors were knowledgeable, passionate, and truly invested in developing and growing our cycle of yoga trainees. I am honored to say I was trained by some of the best and cannot wait to begin 500 YTT with Infinity Yoga when it is offered in the future!"
"I am so happy that I had the opportunity to complete my teacher training with Becky, Jenny and Erin and the rest of their team at Infinity Yoga! Becky is so dedicated to her program and puts her whole heart into every piece of the training. I would absolutely recommend this program to anyone interested in teaching or even just looking to deepen their knowledge of yoga. I had a wonderful experience and met some really amazing people along the way!"
"I am so honored and thankful that I waited to take my 200 RYT from Infinity Yoga. From Day 1, it just felt right. Your kindness, generous spirit, intuition, passion and encouragement were inspirational. We had a great group which made the journey so enjoyable. Youa re a great role model and teacher. there were times during the training that I thought I finally 'get it', but now I'm thinking that I'm only at the tip of the iceberg. Thank you for helping me to understand that yoga is so much more than just a workout... it is a way of life."
"My Yoga teacher training experience at Infinity exceeded all of my expectations! I was exposed to a broad range of topics concerning the yogic tradition, methods and philosophy, but most importantly left this program with a confidence in my ability to design and teach a safe and effective yoga class. We practiced assists, cues, anatomy and class structure in depth. The continued support and opportunities to teach community classes even after we have graduated is so wonderful and appreciated. The diverse and talented group of students and teachers in this program enabled me to learn and grow in so many ways during this Yoga teacher training program. I am so excited to share what I have learned with others and continue to learn more to develop my yoga practice. I have begun a wonderful journey! Thank you Infinity Yoga."
"When I enrolled in the program, I expected to learn how to teach yoga. While I have, I've also experienced a transformational journey and learned more than I could have ever imagined about myself, my body, and people around me. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to learn and grow with you and my new yoga family. Namaste."
"When I committed to teacher training, I had no idea what I was getting myself into! I expected to learn a lot about yoga, and I did. I did not expect to turn my frame, brain and confidence inside-out and upside-down, becoming consumed and terrified and exhilerated, then repeatedly reborn, shaken and dazed, into your warm studio. Over the past 3 months, I have witnessed bodies and minds doing intense things that I never even knew bodies and mind could-or need to- do! I learned so much about myself, spirit, my peers, my teachers, community, and my world. Thank you, Infinity, for your kindness, patience, knowledge, and time!"
"Infinity Yoga Teacher Training was a life changing experience! I would recommend this training to anyone looking to feel knowledgeable and comfortable teaching yoga as well as for anyone looking to deepen their practice. Becky created an environment that was conducive to transformation and growth both personally and professionally. We are now all part of the Infinity Yoga family!"
"Infinity Yoga's teacher training was an amazing experience. I am a very linear person, science-based, but this teacher training helped me approach myself, my practice and my professional life in an entirely different manner. I am able to truly live more mindfully and with careful consideration of how my words and actions affect the people and world around me. This isn't a program that just teaches you how to instruct an asana practice, rather how to integrate the principles of yoga into your life and share them (joyfully) with others!
"Infinity Yoga was one of the best experiences of my life. The education I received was thoughtful and intentional. The students worked really hard and we had a tough teacher, but it made all of the students bloom into compassionate and diligent teachers. Infinity's community was so friendly and welcoming. I feel confident to go out into the world and share what I have learned at Infinity Yoga."
"Infinity Yoga hosted an amazing teacher training, full of wonderful training opportunities, guest instructors, workshops, and a great group of students. We had a great time deepening our yoga practices, learning to teach, and learning about each other. Over the ten week course we learned so much, and we all experienced a transformation by the end. This program was more than I could have hoped for and am forever grateful for all the hard work and effort that Infinity put into creating this comprehensive program. I definitely recommend taking your training at this studio in Atlanta. The atmosphere is welcoming and very much a family feel. They know you by name and all the members become your friends. This is a very strong Yoga community!"
"I learned so much! I had no idea what it was going to be like. I knew it was a major time commitment, and I knew I was spending some money- but I had no idea it was going to change my life in the many positive ways it did, and I had no idea that at my age (I'm 44), I had so much to learn about myself and others. It was an amazing experience. I'm very grateful for the experience- particularly to Becky Nickerson, and also to the visiting\assisting teachers and my fellow students."
"Infinity Yoga's YTT program was amazing. The instructors really cared about the subjects they taught, and were always helpful with any questions. The curriculum was filled with interesting and important subjects. I am so grateful to Infinity Yoga for having such a great program. I would do it over again in a heartbeat!"
