During a very transitional time in her life, Malaika completed her 200 hour Pranic Soul that blended Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Kundalini and Kundalini Meditation. It was through a consistent yoga and meditation practice that Malaika found balance, broke down perceived personal barriers and found the true meaning of self-love and acceptance! Malaika believes that yoga and meditation are truly medicine for the soul, which is the foundation and vibration she brings to her class.
As a yoga teacher, Malaika also blends many key elements and concepts from her dance background. As a teenager, Malaika began Atlanta Ballet's pre-professional program where she trained extensively in classical ballet. She then moved to New York to attend SUNY Purchase College, Conservatory of Dance, receiving her BFA in dance and choreography. Soon after, she began traveling worldwide with numerous dance productions and companies such as the Martha Graham Dance Company, Radio City's Christmas Spectacular and the Metropolitan Opera. Malaika is still performing with the Met Opera to this day!
In addition to her yoga practice, Malaika is also a certified personal trainer. She loves teaching one-on-one private sessions focusing on corrective exercise, functional movement patterns, pilates, barre fitness and even yoga and meditation privates! Overall, Malaika's ultimate goal as a teacher is to leave her students feeling in a relaxed elevated state, owning their breathe and practicing self-love!

The body is the vehicle to your true nature and meditation is the method used to experience peace and bliss. Learn how to calm the mind, be present in your body and feel rejuvenated. This class is structured using experiential instruction combined with group meditation, usually two guided sits offered with time for questions and clarifications. This class is open to beginner and establish meditators. The benefits of daily meditation practice can reduce stress, anxiety and insomnia as well as increase clarity, concentration and creativity.
Never done yoga? No problem! This class is for you. Learn the fundamental poses and technique of "vinyasa." In this tutorial based class, we will go slow with the opportunity for questions. Gain the confidence and skills to branch out into our all-levels classes. Classroom is not heated.
Powerful dynamic flowing sequences with music! Many skill levels come to this class so many options are given, however knowledge of sun salutations and solid all around fitness is recommended for this class. Be prepared to sweat and have fun! Classroom temperature is WARM (between 82-87 degrees).

Pilates Yoga Fusion Flow
Pilates Yoga Fusion provides a challenging practice that will strengthen, stretch and tone your entire body. This heated, energizing practice combines the two mind-body formats in one so you can reap the benefits of greater strength, flexibility and peace of mind. Room Temperature is Warm - between 82-87 degrees.
Restorative Yoga is a slow all-levels class designed to balance an active practice or decompress after a stressful day. Using props, postures are held for a longer period of time to initiate a deep relaxation of the body and mind. Classroom is not heated.
Foundational Flow is the bridge between Basics and Infinity Flow. This class allows each student to flow thru a series of moderately challenging poses. Each series has been created to work through lines in the body building strength, flexibility, and endurance. Classroom is not heated.
