Kathy was 40 when scoliosis and age prompted her to seek out Yoga as a way to move beyond pain and to develop more freedom of movement. She was immediately drawn to the precision and eloquence of Iyengar yoga. In 2010, she passed the rigorous certification process to become an Iyengar certified teacher, and she can confidently say, after 17 years of practice, that she is more flexible in both mind and body.
As an instructor at the suburban extension of Midtown’s Stillwater Yoga, Kathy long made Iyengar yoga available to Dunwoody residents. She continues her studies with Senior Iyengar teachers in classes and workshops across the country, and she is honored to share what she learns with her students now at Infinity.
Kathy brings a lighthearted manner, precise instruction, and meaningful sequencing to each class. She strives to make her classes challenging and accessible to all ages and abilities, and her attention to every individual makes her classes warm and inclusive.
“Yoga does not just change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees.” ― B.K.S. Iyengar
